New support group in the southern
area
We are heartened to hear from member Jan Kavanagh who
is interested in establishing a southern areas SAVES support group, and
/ or nurses support group.
It can be difficult for outer suburb members to attend
our general meetings and a local group is the ideal way to stay informed
and possibly become actively involved. The group can also benefit SAVES
in a number of ways and further our aim of law reform. A nurses' group
would comprise nursed with current or past experience who support our aims
and are prepared to act as a lobby group, as does our doctors' support
group. These groups can have an important influence on public policy.
