Ms Vivian Wilson, daughter of the late Sir Mark Oliphant, replies
to SAVES' expression of sympathy on the death of Sir Mark.
'Dear Mary
Thank you for your kind letter on the passing of my father, Sir Mark
Oliphant. It has comforted me greatly hearing from so many people who admired
him.
My father's final illness was short, and in accordance with his wishes,
was allowed to take its natural course. Pain relief was administered, he
was kept comfortable and the end was peaceful.
He always believed in your cause and supported the endeavours of SAVES.
