Have You Spotted It?

The SAVES Display has been in many metropolitan libraries over the past few years. It is a particularly good way of ensuring that the issue of VE is continually presented to the public, thereby gaining credibility and respectability.

If you see it in your library it would be really helpful if you tell the staff how pleased you are because some of them are reluctant to have it for fear of adverse reaction. Unfortunately negative comments are often more forthcoming than positive ones, even though this doesn't reflect the true level of community support for VE. And we all remember how this very same situation led to the demise of the Northern Territory's Rights of the Terminally Ill Act.

Asking at your library if they would have our Display is a good idea, and writing a letter of support when they do could encourage them to have it again. I have found most librarians to be quite positive. The Display looks good, is adaptable to various size constraints and I can easily set it up without their assistance. Our pamphlets, which accompany the Display, are an added bonus.

So please do rush in full of enthusiasm to your library and support SAVES in this way! You can be a part of the action!
