A New World Federation President
SAVES President, Mary Gallnor, attended the biennial conference of the
World Federation of Right to Die Societies in Zurich, Switzerland, from
12-15 October. Having been vice-president of the federation for the last
two years she was automatically appointed president. This is, of course,
an honour for any Society, but especially for one as small as SAVES. It
is also a great achievement for Mary personally. We congratulate her on
taking up the challenge of presiding over this loosely-knit, multi-lingual,
world-wide organisation.
She will have the dedicated support of the SAVES committee and also
of Libby Drake, a former member of our committee. Libby, now living in
Sydney and a committee-member of the VES of NSW, is the new Secretary of
the World Federation.
